The visit by our Embassy (Tito Dutari, Chancellor) and our Association to the migrant camps in the Darien province, as part of the Cristo Sana Program.
The medical missions of the Cristo Sana Program are a commendable and far-reaching endeavor that has brought medical care to indigenous and rural communities in the mentioned province. With a focus on human well-being, this tour has benefited approximately 300 people, providing them with vital access to medical and dental care, as well as ophthalmological, laboratory, and pharmacy services.
We take pride in informing you that this noble initiative has been supported through the generosity of the Order of Malta, which has channeled funds through “Found for the Forgotten People.” This financial contribution plays an essential role in the viability and success of these medical missions, demonstrating the deep commitment of the Order of Malta to improving the health and well-being of the most vulnerable populations.
The care provided, ranging from general medicine to the distribution of eyeglasses to improve vision, illustrates the multitude of comprehensive services offered during these visits. The active and dedicated presence of the Order of Malta in this humanitarian initiative is a palpable manifestation of its mission to alleviate human suffering and serve those in need.
