In a significant event held at the Order of Malta House, a collaboration agreement has been signed between the Lions Club of Panama and the Order of Malta. This agreement, signed by Vittorio De Sanctis, President of the Order of Malta Panama, and Danelo Allan Araúz González, Governor of District D-1 of the National Association of Lions Clubs, marks a milestone in cooperation for community service and humanitarian assistance.
The agreement states that the Order of Malta will donate fortified rice, medical supplies and household items, among others, beginning June 16, 2024, to support nutrition and provide basic necessities to the communities assisted by the Lions Clubs. This joint effort reflects the mission of The Order of Malta Panama and the Lions Club to serve the community and the commitment of both parties to use their resources to the maximum benefit of shared objectives.
The terms of the agreement detail the commitments of both organizations, including the Order of Malta’s monthly donation of six pallets of supplies and the Lions Club’s responsibility to properly distribute these resources among the communities it serves. In addition, collaboration in transportation and delivery logistics was agreed upon, as well as timely communication to resolve any unforeseen issues that may arise.

This agreement not only symbolizes a strategic alliance between two prominent entities in social work, but also promises a significant impact on the lives of many needy people in Panama.
