The Embassy and the Association of the Order in Panama jointly donated 360 pallets of Mannapack Rice to different Comedores Comunitarios, assisted by the Ministry of Social Development.
Present at the event in the “Comedor Comunitario de Curundu and in the Centro Educativo Marie Poussepin, HE Maria Ines Castillo, Minister of Social Development, and HE Lupo del Bono, Ambassador of the Order in Panama.
The two institutons prepare daily more than 1,000 meal for underprivileged people.
His Excellency Ambassador Lupo del Bono was awarded the ‘General José de Fábrega Medal of Excellence’.
On June 11, the Embassy of the Order of Malta received in Panama City the Governor of the province of Cocle and his team to strengthen institutional and cultural ties.
The Embassy of the Order of Malta in Panama and the Panamanian Association of the Order of Malta made a donation of 18,000 kilos of fortified rice, representing 273,000 portions of meals.
