In the context of her official visit to Rome, the Vice Minister of Multilateral Affairs and Cooperation, Ms. Ana Luisa Castro Novey, held a meeting with the Grand Chancellor of the Sovereign Order of Malta, Mr. Albrecht Freiherr von Boeselager. During this occasion, the Vice Minister expressed her gratitude for the honor of being received on the day of the celebration of the Feast of St. John the Baptist, the Patron of the Order. She also offered her condolences for the regrettable passing of Fray Marco Luzzago, the Lieutenant of the Order.

The meeting fostered a substantive exchange of opinions on matters of relevance both at the regional and international levels. Pressing issues such as the migration problem, the current situation in Ukraine, and the humanitarian commitment of the Sovereign Order in this crisis were discussed. Additionally, matters of utmost political significance in the region were explored.
