It is an honor to share the news about the beginning of the construction and assembly of the Side Altar of the Order of Malta in the Metropolitan Cathedral – Basilica Santa Maria La Antigua, located in Panama City. This act of generosity is materialized as a joint donation, in which the Embassy of the Order of Malta in Panama and the Panamanian Association participate.

The act of donation includes not only the Lateral Altar itself, but also a Baptismal Font, elements that will consecrate a space of spiritual significance in the Cathedral. It should be noted that this initiative is unique: it will be the only instance in which the Order of Malta erects an Altar in the Cathedral of the capital of a country.
