In the year 2023, we are extremely pleased to commemorate the seventy-fifth (75th) anniversary of diplomatic relations between the Sovereign Order of Malta and the Republic of Panama. In order to honor this significant occasion, we have organized a collaboration with the National Post and Telegraph Service of Panama and the National Government to facilitate the issuance of a Commemorative Stamp of singular relevance.

This stamp transcends its mere postal function, becoming a tangible emblem of our longstanding friendship and cooperation. Its distinction is enhanced by the fact that it will be simultaneously released in analog form by the National Post and Telegraph Service of Panama, thus conferring a philatelic value of remarkable exception to this momentous event.

The distinguished design of this stamp has been entrusted to the accomplished master Arístides Ureña Ramos, a renowned painter in the Panamanian realm who has captured his art in the Cathedral of Panama with an evocative fresco. The piece depicts the image of a triumphant Christ accompanied by the Virgin, arriving at our shores and surrounded by His people, alongside the Flags of Panama and the Order of Malta.
